Five million BAM will be invested in the improvement of early growth and development of children

Federal Ministry of Education and Science organized a public discussion on the Draft of the strategic plan for the improvement of early growth and development of children in Federation of B&H from 2013 till 2017. Due to the fact that one of the priorities of the Federation of B&H is to improve the status of children, and to secure their rights within all principles and regulations of the Declaration and Convention on Children Rights, the Government of FB&H chose to invest in the improvement of growth and development of children. The representative of UNICEF in B&H, Florence Bauer said that five million BAM have to be invested for the implementation of the Strategy for improvement of early growth and development of children in FB&H. Federal Minister of Education and Science Damir Mašić reminded that the Federal Government already implemented the Policies on early growth and development of children in FB&H. The Draft of the strategy for the improvement of early growth and development of children followed shortly after the implementation of aforementioned policies. The first goal of this draft is to make grounds in order to improve responsibility of all levels of government. The second is to secure school education that will be totally free of any kind of discrimination. Another goal is to improve eating habits of children and to introduce healthy life style. Prevention of violence and abuse in schools is also one of the major goals of this Draft. .
