Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Una-Sana Canton (USC) in cooperation with colleagues from Canton 10, as part of the continuation of the action code-named “Bura”, searched several residential buildings and arrested five people from Bihac and Drvar who are suspected of participating in procurement and distribution of narcotic narcotics.

“Members of the Criminal Police Sector and the Specialist Support Unit of the USC Ministry of Interior participated in the coordinated action with colleagues from Canton 10, ie from Livno.

During yesterday’s searches of several buildings were carried out, and two persons in the area of the municipality of Drvar and three persons from the city of Bihac were deprived of liberty.

Criminal proceedings were instituted against these persons, and today they were forwarded to the competent Prosecutor’s Office of Canton 10 in Livno for further proceedings and processing “, said the spokesman of the USC Police, Ale Siljdedic.

It was also confirmed that a larger amount of narcotics, money, cars, mobile phones and weapons were found during yesterday’s searches. “A larger amount of dry herbaceous substance was found, which resembles cannabis sativa in appearance, as well as white and brown powder, which are associated with the narcotic drugs cocaine and heroin.

A larger amount of money was found, which is presumed to have been obtained through the illegal sale of nakotics, cars, mobile phones, scales for precise measurement, and hunting and military weapons “, added Siljdedic.

This is a continuation of the “Bura” operation carried out by the Ministry of the Interior of the Una-Sana Canton since last year, with the aim of suppressing the procurement and distribution of narcotics in this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
