The first health workers from Republika Srpska entity who have expressed a desire to be vaccinated in Serbia, will start the vaccination process from tomorrow.

As the Minister of Health of RS, Alen Seranic said, they agreed with Serbia on the vaccination of 5,000 health workers and employees in social protection institutions. The development of the application for registration of RS citizens for vaccination with the Sputnik V vaccine is underway, which is expected in larger quantities by the end of February.

Vaccination of BH citizens in Serbia will be held in Sremska Mitrovica and Loznica, and will soon be able to do so in Sabac. So far, 2,150 health workers have applied, and Seranic hopes that workers from institutions for the accommodation of the elderly will also apply.

In the meantime, the authorities in RS are working on the development of an application through which the citizens of this BH entity will be able to apply for vaccination when a new contingent of Sputnik V vaccines arrives.

According to Branislav Zeljkovic, director of the RS Institute of Public Health, the application will be operational in 15-20 days.

“Citizens of RS will apply via phone and online application, which we are trying to develop as soon as possible. We have collected certain information from the provider and now the capacity of the call center is important to us in terms of receiving incoming and outgoing calls. For the larger amount of vaccines that we expect, we are still waiting for information from the supplier and we will inform the citizens in a timely manner, “said Zeljkovic.

Vaccination of health workers at the Hospital in Prijedor started yesterday. During yesterday, 35 workers were vaccinated, which was greeted with loud applause, BHRT writes.
