scandinavianAfter a successful business year in which there was a record number of passenges at the International Airport Sarajevo 2013, which amounted to 665.638 (331.069 arrivals and 334.569 departures), growth continues this year. In February, there were 17 percent more passengers than in the same month last year, said the Spokesperson of the International Airport Sarajevo Sabina Kovač to Fena.

‘’At the Sarajevo airport there are ten regular airline companies, and travelers are able to travel to any city in Europe, with one layover at the most’’, said Kovač.

She stressed that ‘’growth at the International Airport is expected in the next period as well, which is the result of the establishment of new airlines and the increase of charter flights in the summer period’’.

At the beginning of April, there is a plan to introduce new lines of Stockholm-Sarajevo by the Swedish airline company Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS), which is the leading carrier of Scandinavian countries, said Kovač.

From 15 April, there will be a direct line Berlin-Sarajevo by the German company German Wings, which will be available two times a week, and the price of a ticket will be 100 Euros, depending on the date of the reservation, added the Spokesperson of the International Airport Sarajevo.
