A Dubai-based airline has announced flights to the capital of Montenegro, Podgorica, which will start on November 1st with two flights every week, and flights will include a stopover in Sarajevo, a popular destination in the Flydubai network.

Podgorica joins the air network in Central and Eastern Europe, which includes Belgrade, Bratislava, Bucharest, Prague, Skopje, Sarajevo and Sofia.

Flydubai will become the only carrier based in the United Arab Emirates that offers direct air links with Podgorica.

“By launching flights to Podgorica, we offer our travelers more ways to explore and discover Montenegro. The popularity of our summer flights to Tivat has shown a continuing demand for greater access to this part of the world and we are pleased that we will regularly have flights to Montenegro,” Ghaith Al Ghaith, the company’s chief executive, said.

Podgorica offers its visitors a lot of places to explore, with its charming architecture, greenery and picturesque surroundings, myriad cafes and numerous museums. The Skadar Lake National Park, home to the largest lake in southern Europe, is located a short distance from the city, and the popular coastal town of Tivat is a 90-minute drive away.
