FM Hosts Inaugural Visit of Newly Appointed German Ambassador to BiH

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, received today the newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alfred Grannas.

Minister Konaković welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany and wished him a successful diplomatic mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and thanked him for the support that the Federal Republic of Germany provides to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to the European Union.

During the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries and opportunities for strengthening future cooperation were discussed. It was emphasized that the Federal Republic of Germany is one of the largest foreign partners with which BiH has significant foreign trade.

The interlocutors exchanged opinions on the current political situation in BiH, the region and the EU, and Ambassador Grannas confirmed that the Federal Republic of Germany will remain a strong partner for Bosnia and Herzegovina, as it has been until now.

Minister Konaković emphasized the plan and continuation as well as the importance of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s path towards the European Union, which is important not only for BiH but also for countries in the region, as well as all partner countries of BiH, both bilaterally and multilaterally, the Public Relations Office of the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
