FM Turkovic called BiH Citizens “spoiled” and said: We all have a very good Life

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Bisera Turkovic commented, among other things, on the financial situation of the citizens of our country. According to what she said, it could be concluded that the situation in BiH is “milk and honey“.

Turkovic was a guest on the Hayat television program, where she commented on the current political situation in BiH, and towards the end of the interview, she analyzed the economic situation in our country and its impact on the lives of citizens.

“The situation is getting better every day, you know. Nothing is achieved without effort and work. There were other countries, you know, European countries, powerful countries that went through that, through conflicts and denials, through a lot of historical issues. I don’t know why should we be spared and have some idyllic life. We need to prove ourselves, to fight,” she mentioned.

To the journalist’s comment that people may be tired of fighting, Turkovic replied that “no one has the right to be tired if they have something to eat.”

“No one should be tired of that. No one. We all have a very good life. Those who have warmth in the home, lighting, something to eat, cannot be tired. I think we are spoiled,” the minister said.

Also, she added that in the United States (U.S.), as the country where there is a culmination of the development of democracy and human rights, she is surprised when she sees “tents around the State Department in Washington, where homeless people are housed.”

“Here, there are no tents with the homeless people around the Presidency of BiH, the Council of Ministers of BiH, and the parliaments,” she emphasized.

In the end, she admitted that, as she said, there are difficult cases here and there in BiH.

“There are difficult cases, here and there, we should not close our eyes to that. But most of our people can make ends meet. And when we look at the majority of people, we have a solid life,” Turkovic concluded.
