Foreign Investments of Bosnia abroad amounts to 916 Million BAM

At the end of 2019, the total foreign direct investments from Bosnia and Herzegovina abroad amounted to 916 million BAM, according to the statistics of the Central Bank of BiH.

Out of that, 603.7 million BAM are ownership shares and retained earnings, and 312.3 million BAM are other capital.

In 2018, the balance of foreign direct investment abroad was 911.8 million BAM. Observed by countries, the largest investments from BiH were in Croatia 227.4 million BAM, followed by Germany 169 million BAM, Montenegro 151.2 million BAM, and Serbia 130 million BAM.

In addition, there were 41.8m BAM of investments in Slovenia, 19.8m BAM in Northern Macedonia, 17.8m BAM in Austria, 8.2m BAM in Turkey, Nezavisne writes.
