Alliance of BH association in Austria “Consilium Bosniacum” in 2020  launched an initiative to adopt a resolution on Srebrenica in the Austrian parliament. The motion for a resolution was sent to parliament on June 14, 2022. It was signed by representatives of the Green Party, the People’s Party, the Social Democratic Party and the Neos party.

“Today, the resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica was unanimously adopted in the Foreign Policy Committee of the Austrian Parliament. The Austrian right-wing party FPÖ also voted in favor of the resolution. The resolution in the Austrian parliament will be voted on at the beginning of July 2022 – the president of the association,” Damir Saracevic, told N1.

The association “Consilium Bosniacum” has a civic orientation, it includes as many as 21 associations of citizens, and it was founded with the aim of making their voice better heard, among other things, so that they could launch initiatives like this one. They emphasize that they persistently raise the culture of memory to a higher level.
