The Appellate Court in Belgrade acquitted two former police officers of charges of revealing an official secret related to their activities during the visit of the then Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, to Potocari in July 2015, when he was attacked.

This decision confirmed the first-instance verdict in which Mladen Trbovic and Milan Dumanovic were acquitted of the charge of revealing an official secret for an extended period of time as co-perpetrators, it was announced on the Appellate Court’s website.

In the explanation of the decision of the Appellate Court, it is stated that the first-instance court correctly concluded that in the specific case, it was not proven that there were or could be consequences for the service, as well as which information is an official secret.

The indictment charged Dumanovic and Trbovic with having disclosed secret information regarding their work in Potocari in their statements to the media, but the details of the indictment were not made public.

They were arrested on December 31st, 2016, and on February 7th, 2017, they were released pending trial, Klix.ba reports.
