Company Vjetroelektrane Čardakov d.o.o. Travnik, as an investor, made a decision to build a wind park in Vlašić, the territory of the municipality of Travnik, reports BiznisInfo.ba.

The total expected power of the wind farm is 50 MW (10 x 5 MW), i.e. the construction of 10 wind farm poles is planned.

The owners of Vjetroelektrane Čardakov d.o.o. are Selmo Cikotić (former Minister of Security of BiH), the company “Bičakčić” d.o.o. Sarajevo (backed by Edhem Bičakčić), the company EIB Internationale Banjaluka, and the company Interenergo, energji inženiring d.o.o. Ljubljana.

Previously, the concession for this project was held by the TLG company, but it was transferred to the Čardakov company.

There are no buildings on the site in question that could affect the position of the wind farm.

The construction land on which the wind turbines are planned was awarded to Vjetroelektrane Čardakov d.o.o. by the Central Bosnian Canton Government on March 7, 2022. Travnik for use for the purpose of construction, use, construction and maintenance of plants for converting wind energy into electricity.

The purchase of land will be done in accordance with the Law on Expropriation of the FBiH, which determines the conditions and procedure for expropriation of real estate for the construction of buildings of public interest, compensation and amount of compensation, resolution of complaints, resolution of disputes and other issues related to the expropriation procedure.

The concession area for the subject wind power plants (wind parks) and envisages road and energy infrastructure, is located on the Vlašić mountain.

The direct goal of the Vlašić Wind Power Project is the production of electricity for the needs of the Bosnia and Herzegovina power system.

The general goal of the project is to improve and increase renewable energy sources in the energy mix of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Special attention is paid to solar and wind energy, especially wind energy at high altitudes.

The strategic goal is the production of energy from renewable energy sources by investing in wind power projects. Therefore, the Vlašić wind park will also contribute to the achievement of the strategic goal, and for this reason, a wind measurement campaign will be conducted at the Vlašić location with the aim of building wind farms and putting them into operation.
