Former Slovenian Prime Minister called Citizens to Arm Themselves

Former Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janša commented on the introduction of border controls at Slovenian border crossings and the migrant crisis in general, and called on Slovenians to arm themselves.

“The devil has taken the joke. Arm yourself. Legally,” Janša begins his call on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

He adds that the smart ones understood the call, and the others “will trust Golob, Poklukar and Šarac that they are capable of protecting Slovenia, but also them personally in case of terrorist attacks”.

Janša states that these are state officials who, since June, have been ignoring calls from the Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) – led by Janša – to convene the National Security Council, which would discuss measures to combat illegal migration and manage security risks.

“They tore down the fence, and now, when they reintroduce controls at the border with their neighbors in a panic, they are only redirecting the flow of illegals from roads to wagons,” Janša added.

He also called out the current Minister of Defense, Marjan Sarac, stating that he runs his department like a reality show.

Janša states that the world has changed in the last decade and that the value foundations of Western civilization have been undermined. “The pressure of mass illegal migration is radically destroying the existing way of life in the EU and strengthening militant, pro-terrorist cores in European metropolises. Once safe and successful cities are recording an unprecedented increase in crime. Unfortunately, Ljubljana also belongs to this.”

“Hamas’ latest incursion into Israel once again confirmed how important it is for the people to be well and legally armed,” he added.

At the end of the post, Janša underlines three things and repeats the call to Slovenians to arm themselves.

“Three things are clear to every literate today:

1. We can expect a tightening of the security situation with great probability.

2. The current set of authorities is not nearly capable of timely assessments, preparations and action.

3. Everyone is obliged to do everything possible within the framework of the constitutional order to protect his family and homeland.
