Fund of 5.2 Million Waits For New Investors

The Minister of the Una-Sana Canton (USK), Redžo Kurbegović stressed that his Ministry last year, in cooperation with the Development Agency USK, developed and realized four programs supporting the economy in the amount of 800,000 KM.

”Those are support programs to increase employment in the amount of 200,000 KM, support to entrepreneurs (150,000 KM), program of loan-guarantee fund (250,000 KM), and interest rate subsidies for businesses with commercial banks (200,000 KM)”, explained Kurbegović, and added that for the first time the USK government managed to refund funds from the budget to taxpayers.

The Ministry of Economy also seeks to encourage the development of business zones in cities located in the Krajina, and have up until now received funding from the Municipalities of Bosanska Krupa, Bihać, Bosanski Petrovac, Cazin and Ključ.

‘’Bužim also requests monetary funds, and Velika Kladuša has still not sent in a request. Even if there is an initial value of 100,000 KM for each municipality, I believe that I can help, and at the same time show our attitude towards development’’, said Minister Kurbegović.

He believes that the municipalities can establish more business zones with the projects, and make more use of the infrastructure of state-owned enterprises in bankruptcy or in the process of privatization, like Bosanska Krupa did.

‘’In the first three months we will offer entrepreneurs in USK a small business loan credit. The objective of the program is to make available a revolving fund of 5,2 million KM for investments to entrepreneurs from the Krajina, maintain current production, create new jobs and increase expots’’, said Minister Karabegović.
