mesna-industrijaHead of the Department for Economic Development, Sport and Culture of Brčko District Mustafa Nuković announced that the Croatian meat industry “Gavrilović” is expected to move a part of its production and processing capacities to Brčko.

He told Srna that the first phase should install meat processing facilities in the current industrial zone in Brko near Brčko, which should employ dozens of people, while further cooperation with the company is expected to employ around 200 more people.

“The only project left to complete as a precondition for the arrival of the company is the construction of a canalization system and wastewater treatment in the Brčko District’’, said Nuković.

According to him, the realization of this project will cost the District around 68 million euros.

“The completion of the canalization and wastewater treatment, together with the construction of a water factory, we will have met European standards for so that huge companies with their facilities can come to the wider area of this district’’, said Nuković.
