Genocide Victims: Serbia will be a Peacemaker when it accepts the Judgments of the Hague Tribunal

Serbia decided to send a letter to the Secretary General of the United Nations after the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović addressed the UN General Assembly, and the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide reacted to this move.

“Serbia claims that the country is a peacemaker and that it supports BiH. In the proceedings before the International Criminal Court in The Hague, the defense of war criminals presented dozens of letters from Slobodan Milošević and Franjo Tuđman, in which they portray themselves and the countries they represent as peacemakers and lovers of the statehood and sovereignty of BiH “, they say from this association.

They recalled the verdicts passed in The Hague related to the events during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“We all know that the court in The Hague ruled on two JCEs, one with Slobodan Milošević and the other with Franjo Tuđman at the head, and clearly ruled that the then presidents of Serbia and Croatia pursued a double policy: public for the show before the international community and secret as leaders of criminal plans.” , the announcement reads.

They further state that Bećirović’s assessments, presented in his presentation to the UN General Assembly, regarding the role of Serbia, are absolutely correct.

“Denis Bećirović is right when he says that Serbia is endangering BiH and that Aleksandar Vučić is doing it. Our message to ‘all Vučićs’ who lead a double policy towards BiH, the times have passed when you unhinderedly made JCEs and played double games against BiH. Enough were your ‘good intentions’ towards BiH”, say the Association of Genocide Victims and Witnesses.

Finally, they sent a message directly to the President of Serbia, regarding his attitude towards the judgments of international courts.

“When you accept the facts of the UN courts, then you become a serious and reasonable interlocutor. Everything else is a continuation of the hypocritical policy from the time when you were only a minister in the government of Slobodan Milošević,” reads the statement of this association.
