German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has expressed confidence that he can be re-elected to that position.
“In fact, I am becoming more and more passionate about the fight – every minute, hour, day and week – and I want to triumph,” Scholz said in a podcast called “Apocalypse and Filter Coffee.”
He recalled that, allegedly, he had no chance of winning in the 2021 elections, but he still became chancellor.
“That’s why I believe in myself again,” Scholz emphasized.
The current chancellor emphasized that the elections are “something in which the people have the final say,” TASS reported.
“That’s why I am now creating the possibility of holding the elections earlier, not in September, but in February next year,” Scholz added.
