German Commissioner for Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid in B&H

201431493750632120141_christoph-StrasserThe German commissioner for human rights and humanitarian aid, Christoph Strässer, arrived yesterday to B&H. Within his three days lasting visit, Mr Strässer will, in Sarajevo and in one Romany village in the central Bosnia, discuss various subjects with the representatives of the authorities and civil societies, among which the Press  Council of B&H as well.

The main focus of his visit is the Romany population, sexual minorities and the general conditions when it comes to human rights.

The jurist Christoph Strässer is a member of the Social Democratic Party, a delegate in the German Parliament (Bundestag) since 2002 and Commissioner for human rights and humanitarian aid since 2014.

Just before coming to Sarajevo, Mr Strässer participated at the LGBT conference in Belgrade.

At the end of his visit, Mr Strässer will hold a press conference on Tuesday, September 16th at 09:45 0’clock at the German Embassy in Sarajevo (Skenderija 3).
