Germans warn: Kinder Chocolate is cancerogenic!

kinder chocolateTests conducted by the German association for protection of consumers “Foodwatch” showed that Kinder chocolate contains a dangerous ingredient that “might be cancerogenic”.

Apart from Kinder, two other brands of kids chocolates were positive to this ingredient. The association urged the relevant bodies to withdraw from sale the following products: Ferrero’s Kinder riegel, Lindt’s Fioretto Nugat Minis, and Rubezahl’s Sun Rice Classic Schoco Happen, because they might contain “potential cancerogenic ingredients”.

Allegedly, those chocolates contain the so-called “aromatic mineral oils” (MOAH), Foodwatch stated.

“It’s producer’s fault. Instead of withdrawing the sangerous candies from the shelves and alarm the consumers, they claim that they are doing everything in accordance with the law,” said John Heg, representative of the association.

Over 20 sorts of chips and chocolates were tested and the saturated mineral oils were found. During the decomposition in the human body, those oils may cause organ damage, and children are especially at risk.

It turns out that the Kinder chocolate, which is one of the best sold chocolates in Germany, has the highest level of those mineral oils.

In their statement, the association stated that this substance is transmitted into the food through the recycled package that has been previously printed with the ink that contains those oils.
