German Ambassador to Bosnia-Herzegovina Margret Uebber signed an agreement worth 340,000 euros in December with project manager of the HALO Trust, Alexander Maier for the purpose of marking and registering small arms in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

So far, Germany has made available around 526,000 euros for this purpose, according to Federal News Agency.

Thanks to the re-allocation of funds, the HALO Trust and trained tagging teams in the Armed Forces of Bosnia-Herzegovina can continue tagging and registering of an additional 22,700 weapons.

Thanks to this support, the entire BiH’s Armed Forces warehouse inventory will be marked and registered by the end of 2020.

German-funded laser marking machines will remain in the possession of the BiH Armed Forces even after completion of work to be available in the future.
