The fourth DiplomatSKI giant slalom race will be held on Jahorina tomorrow.

The DiplomatSKI race is the result of cooperation between the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia and the Jahorina Olympic Center, in which 60 competitors from among representatives of embassies and international organizations, businessmen and representatives of civil organizations will participate.

The skiers of the DiplomatSKI competition will send a message of peace, solidarity and international cooperation, which is particularly important in today’s times, the organizers announced.

A press conference will be held at 1:30 p.m., and immediately after the conference, the Ptuj kurenti will perform. The characters of the wandering kurenti are among the well-known traditional carnival customs in Slovenia, and the kurent is the most recognizable carnival character, whose records of its appearance date back to 1880. The kurent is also one of the symbols of Slovenian identity and is under the protection of UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of Slovenia.
