Good News from Michael Schumacher’s Family

Legendary Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher is set to become a grandfather, as his daughter Gina is expecting a baby girl.

Gina and her husband, Iain Bethke, shared the joyful news on Instagram.

“I am very much looking forward to the arrival of our little girl. The new rider will arrive in April 2025,” wrote Gina Maria, announcing the arrival of her new baby and that Michael will become a grandfather.

The couple has been married for several months, and Schumacher made a rare public appearance at that time after 10 years.

As a reminder, there is still no accurate information about the true condition of what many consider the best Formula 1 driver ever.

Michael, 55, suffered a brain injury in a 2013 skiing accident. Since then, his children, Gina-Maria and Mick Schumacher, have spoken about his life in interviews and paid tribute to him over the years.

In January 2023, Gina-Maria celebrated her father’s birthday on Instagram with a heartfelt throwback photo of them wearing matching racing bomber jackets. She captioned it, “Happy Birthday Dad ???????????? throwback to our karting times! ????️ #keepfighting ❤️.”

It has been 11 years since the tragic accident, and it is not known whether Michael is even aware of the last good news in his family.
