lukavac floodsGovernment of the Federation of BiH issued a Decision at the 57th emergency telephone session, on allocating funds from Budget of FBiH for 2014 from current transfers to areas affected by floods.

It is an emergency financial aid amounting 3.500.000 BAM. Assistance is directed to four cantons which have suffered great damages during May floods and are now affected by floods again. Specifically, Tuzla and Zenica-Doboj Canton will receive 1.225.000 BAM each, and Una-Sana and Posavina Canton 525.000 BAM each.

Funds are allocated for emergency repair of damage caused by floods in May and August 2014.

Government of FBiH tasked the cantons to deliver reports on how funds are used within 60 days from the payment. Use of allocated funds is subjected to budget supervision based on Law on Budgets in the Federation of BiH.

This decision was issued after the Government considered requests for assistance in repair of damage caused by the most recent floods sent by prime ministers of these cantons – PR Office of the FBiH Government reports.
