Government of Republika Srpska Entity waives 50 Percent of benefits for Solidarity Fund

The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska entity, Radovan Viskovic, said on Thursday that the Government had decided to suspend the payment of income tax liabilities and all fees arising from the final account by June 30th this year, Avaz news portal reports.

Viskovic said at a press conference in Banja Luka that the RS government has decided to extend the obligations of business entities to the Independent Ethnic Committee for three months.

A decision has been made to waive 50 percent of personal earnings for March, and the funds will be paid into the Solidarity Fund – he said. Viskovic said that the government’s recommendation that public-sector employees, other than those in the health sector, whose wages are higher than 1,000 BAM, waive ten percent of benefits in favor of the Solidarity Fund.

“We need to show solidarity towards workers in the real sector and the funds raised in the Solidarity Fund will be used to help them,” said the Prime Minister of RS.
