hotelAccording to the information from the Booking.com (website which electronically performs reservation of accommodation), about 70 percent of accommodation facilities located in the center of Sarajevo were booked for the New Year’s eve.

At the same time, according to the same source, a few nights before and after New Year’s Eve occupancy rate was not that high but was similar.

The spokesperson for the Touristic community of Canton Sarajevo, Asja Hadžiefendić-Mešić said that in this period the great interest of tourists is recorded for winter centers in the Federation of BiH, and the capacity of some of these centers (eg. on Vlasic) are already fully booked.

Even though the accommodation facilities in the hotels on Bjelasnica and Igman are not filled, they hope that tourists will still opt for the beautiful ambience.

“In addition to Turkey, whose citizens traditionally visit BiH throughout the year, experience from previous years show that guests for the New Year come mostly from the region (Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Montenegro), as well as from Austria, Germany and Italy …”added Hadžiefendić-Mesic.
