Grlic Radman questioned the BiH Election Law in the EU, supported only by Hungary and Greece

Yesterday’s presentation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Croatia Gordan Grlic Radman on the changes to the Election Law in BiH, which he held at the meeting of the Council of Foreign Affairs of the European Union, did not receive the support the Croatian Foreign Minister hoped for.

Although Radman told the media after the meeting that he received “the support of several colleagues” for the views he expressed during the meeting, as Klix.ba has learned, several in this case means two.

Namely, according to the information, only Hungary and Greece supported Radman’s views on the necessity of changing the Election Law in BiH. The other 24 countries did not support Radman’s presentation.

In essence, there were no conclusions in the EU Foreign Affairs Council on this topic and with the views that Croatian representatives are trying to impose as the dominant narrative.

As a reminder, Radman spoke yesterday about the situation in BiH and briefed his colleagues on the current situation regarding the efforts to amend the election law in which representatives of the United States and the European Union are participating.

“I informed them about the worrying situation in BiH. I said that it is necessary that the EU must send a strong, clear and unambiguous message to those who are hindering the changes in the election law and to whom the status quo corresponds, “Grlic Radman said yesterday after the meeting.

It is also important to recall that in December last year, the European Union’s Foreign Affairs Council adopted conclusions on Bosnia and Herzegovina that did not mention the constituency of the people or legitimate representation.
