EUFOR Commander Meets Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH

The EUFOR Commander, Major General Maurizio Fronda, met on Wednesday with the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Staša Košarac.

At the beginning of his mandate as Commander of EUFOR Operation ALTHEA in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Major General Fronda is conducting introductory meetings with representatives of domestic institutions, ministries, and international partners. This meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on the overall security environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its relevance for foreign trade and economic relations.

Both interlocutors underlined that a safe and secure environment remains a fundamental prerequisite for economic stability, sustainable development, and effective foreign trade. Major General Fronda reaffirmed that EUFOR Operation ALTHEA will continue to carry out its tasks strictly in accordance with its approved mandate, highlighting the European Union’s enduring and stabilizing role in contributing to peace, security, and stability throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
