The right of the Palestinian people to build their own state must be recognized by all, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said at the summit of the Non-Aligned Movement in Uganda.
“The refusal to accept the two-state solution for Israelis and Palestinians and the denial of the right to statehood to the Palestinian people are unacceptable,” he pointed out.
He emphasized that such an attitude would indefinitely prolong the conflict, which has become a great threat to global peace and security, worsen polarization and encourage extremists everywhere, the “Times of Israel” reported.
“The right of the Palestinian people to build their own state must be recognized by everyone,” Guterres said.
