Head of Delegation of EU to BiH presented Credentials

The newly appointed Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina and EU Special Representative in BiH, Johann Sattler, presented credentials on Monday to the Head of the Diplomatic Protocol Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mirsad Besic.

Sattler will replace Lars – Gunnar Wigemark on this position.

Sattler studied political science and Slavic studies at the universities of Innsbruck, Prague and Moscow, and in 2008 received his doctorate from the University of Vienna.

He has been in Austrian diplomacy since 1996.

He headed the Western Balkans Section of the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and prior to his arrival in BiH, Sattler was on the mission of the Austrian ambassador to Albania, News Agency Patria reports.
