The head of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein Kavazović expressed his gratitude to the State of Qatar after the completion of a series of activities during the holy Muslim month of Ramadan, which were directly supported by significant donations from this friendly country of the Arabian Gulf.
“I want to thank the Ministry of Waqf and Islamic Affairs of the State of Qatar, which support our projects every year. Through this help, in the month of Ramadan, the activities of organizing iftars, distribution of cash vouchers, distribution of food and hygiene packages, and Eid packages for the youngest were realized,” it is stated in the message of Kavazović from the video of the Social Care Office of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the message, Kavazovic also thanked for a donation from the Ministry of Waqf and Islamic Affairs of the State of Qatar which helped the Office for Social Care organize 2,000 iftars, including a large iftar of Raeisu-l-ulama with young people from BiH and the region in Sarajevo, and iftars in Banja Luka, Zenica…
Also, 2,000 iftars were distributed to the home addresses for the elderly and ill, as well as single people and 1,000 aid packages throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the end, about 2,000 Eid packages were distributed to the children of Bosnia and Herzegovina in kindergartens. Eid al-Fitr packages were distributed in Sarajevo by Kavazvović himself.
