In the third round of the elite round of group 3 qualifications for the European Championship, which starts in May in Azerbaijan, the cadet national football team of BiH was defeated by Russia with score 1: 2. However, team of Sakib Malkocevic won the trip to the continental event for the first time in the history.
After the victory over Georgia (2: 1) and Italy (1: 0), BH cadets were defeated. However, with a total of 6 points they are going to the Euro. The key was a victory against Italy 1: 0, since the Azzurri defeated Russia with the score 4: 0 and when the table was formed, the Russians had the worst goal difference.
Russia scored the first goal after 12 minutes through Lacevic who scored from the penalty area. Thirteen minutes later, Nedim Hadzic scored for BiH team.
The Russians scored another goal after 66 minutes through Grulev, who scored for the lead 2: 1. After 70 minutes, Hadzic tried to score with head, but with no success. The result has not changed until the end of the match.
In the qualifiers in Moldova, BH cadets were second and they qualified in Georgia in the elite round where they were excellent. This is the first time that a younger football team qualifies in the finals.
European Championship starts on the 5th of May, and cadet BiH team led by Veladzic, Hadzic, Kovac and other, has the opportunity to make great things.
