TikToker Vuk Mihajlovic visited a Balkan restaurant in Manhattan and shared with his followers the experience he had there, but also revealed the prices of the meals. For a traditional Balkan lunch, he had to pay a total of 278 BAM, of which he spent 62 BAM for two portions of ten cevapi.

TikToker Vuk Mihajlovic, better known by his nickname Rai Wolf, shared a video of his visit to a restaurant in Manhattan where, among other things, he tried cevapi, but was also surprised by the prices.

”I want to show you something. This is the bill of a Balkan restaurant here in Manhattan. A restaurant that has all our Balkan food – cevapi, Karadjordje’s schnitzel, kajmak, Shopska salad, etc.,” Mihajlovic said at the beginning of the video.

In the video, he decided to show how much these traditional Balkan specialties cost in New York. Therefore, he singled out the following in order – he paid 11 dollars for a portion of peppers (ca. 20 BAM), and Shopska salad cost 15 dollars, which is approximately 27 BAM.

”Wait until we get to the cevapi,” said Vuk and continued to read the prices from the bill. He paid 16 dollars for two Somun, which is almost 30 BAM, and the Karadjordje’s schnitzel cost 24 dollars or 45 BAM.

”New York is almost as expensive as Budva in the summer”, he joked and finally said how much he paid for two portions of cevapi. Two ”tens” in a restaurant in Manhattan cost 34 dollars or 62 BAM.

Although the price of the mentioned dishes is quite high compared to their price in the Balkans, Mihajlovic admitted that he still knew what to expect in a restaurant located in one of the most expensive cities in the world.

He also shared how during his visit to this restaurant he also ordered a dessert and discovered that he paid 9 dollars for it – almost 17 BAM. Nisko Pivo (beer) cost 10 dollars (18 BAM), and two Rakija 20 dollars (37 BAM).

In total, he had to spend 138 dollars – 254 BAM for a Balkan lunch in Manhattan. However, that was not the end either – tax is subsequently added to that price, so the final amount was 151 dollars – 278 BAM, Klix.ba reports.
