Hungary is ready to sue the European Commission if Brussels refuses to reimburse Budapest for the costs of protecting the borders of the European Union from illegal migrants, said Gergelyi Gulyas, chief of staff of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
He said at the meeting of the Government of Hungary that Budapest will request compensation from the European Commission during the negotiations.
“The Ministry of Justice is also doing preparatory work. We want to get that money from the European Commission in a legal way. We are even ready to sue the European Commission,” warned Gulyas.
