Ahmed Husagic, President of the Homeland Forces Movement and former Adviser to the Chancellor of Austria, as a guest speaker at yesterday‘s session of the Association of Independent Intellectuals “Circle 99”, said that work should be done on Bosnia and Herzegovina‘s (BiH) orientation towards Western European political forces that have the same values of liberal democracy.
”Ideologically and pragmatically, there is no long choice of these principles that can be shared with political movements, and even states, with the same ideas, ” Husagic noted at a press conference held before the session.
This also applies to the current situation in which BiH is shaken by a strong political crisis.
According to Husagic, we need to cooperate with political forces in Western Europe that cultivate the same values, that is, they want to see BiH as a member of modern societies, in order to have a strong ally.
”We must target interest groups that support us, ” said Husagic, whose opinion is that Austria will follow Germany in possible sanctions and pressure on the Government of the Republika Srpska (RS).
BiH must finally be part of the community of the modern democratic world, is the message of the guest speaker of “Circle 99”, and also the topic of his address at yesterday‘s session.
