enisBiH actor Enis Beslagic, winner of the Person of the Year 2015 award, said in a statement that the award that he received last night actually means victory and that he had a chance to send a clear message during his speech to all the authorities in BiH.

“Tonight I wanted to say to all politicians in BiH that they are responsible for the situation in which BiH and its citizens are now. They cannot seek for responsibility in someone else. If the authorities in BiH cannot agree, there are certainly people in their ranks who can agree, and they should hand it over to them,” said Beslagic.

He received the award because he was one of the volunteers who worked for days on preparation of the Kosevo stadium in Sarajevo for the Mass led by Pope Francis during his last year’s visit to BiH.

“Sarajevo and BiH proved to be excellent hosts to the Holy Father before the eyes of the whole world. There are many of those who contributed to this event in various ways, and the Pope Francis’s messages reached the faithful and all people of good will, not only in BiH but abroad as well. However, according to readers of Vecernji list and the jury, one man distinguish oneself with his behavior and actions in the past year, and he showed his value especially in the preparation of the visit of Holy Father,” as stated in the official explanation of a decision on proclaiming Beslagic as the person of the year in BiH.

“I took this form of responsibility in terms of volunteering in welcoming Pope Francis because I felt responsible and because I did not want that World War III starts in Sarajevo as well,” the famous actor made a joke, but he seriously urged all local politicians in BiH that “war never repeats”.

“The people must know that you socialize because on your relationship depend their private relations! On the way you socialize here tonight, depends my relationship in the future in Mostar, Banja Luka …,” said Beslagic, adding: “I ask you that little Marko who is a Croat, with surname Bosnjak, who sings in Serbia, is never attacked in BiH from us that are sitting here, because you are the ones who decide. ”
