The experienced Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic is again a member of Machester United.
After his one-year contract ended at the end of the season, speculations that Ibrahimovic would not get an extension extended. However, Manchester United offered him a new contract with popular Ibrahimovic, which he accepted. The official confirmation regarding the new one-year contract arrived today.
The 35-year Ibrahimovic last year played 46 games for United and scored 28 goals. He ended the season before the end of the season due to a major injury, which he got in a game in the European League against Anderlect.
After finishing the season, the one-year contract ended and some speculated that he will leave for the U.S., return to Milan, which didn’t happen. Ibrahimovic again agreed to cooperation with Manchester United and will start playing after he recovers.
Satisfaction with the agreement between the club and the players wasn’t hidden by the manager Jose Mourinho.
”I’m happy that Zlatan will be playing here again and is recovering again. Because of his contribution to United, he deserves our trust. We’ll be patient and wait for his recovery. There’s no doubt that he’ll be important for the second part of our season,“ Mourinho said.
Ibrahimovic also gave statement for the official web site of United.
”I returned to finish what I have start. The club and I always wanted to remain. I can barely wait to return to Old Trafford, but I also know that time will be necessary for me to be ready. I’m working hard and continuing in that rhythm in order to be in the best form to return to the terrain,“ Ibrahimovic said.
Zlatan got the number 10 on his jersey.
