Zlatan Ibrahimovic has once again come into the spotlight, this time because of a fierce reaction toward popular YouTuber and streamer iShowSpeed, real name Darren Jason Watkins Jr.
Namely, the former Manchester United striker and current advisor at AC Milan joined a video call with Paul Pogba, who was then on a private yacht with Speed.
During the conversation, Ibrahimovic accused Speed of being “arrogant” and threatened him with the words: “I’ll knock your teeth out,” because he didn’t respond to his message on Instagram.
“You’re becoming arrogant!”
It all started when Paul Pogba initiated a FaceTime call with Zlatan and connected him with Speed, who was livestreaming the entire encounter. Ibrahimovic immediately said:
“Speed, I sent you a video on Instagram, and you didn’t even reply. You’re becoming so arrogant.”
Speed tried to defend himself, saying he doesn’t check Instagram messages:
“I didn’t see it. I didn’t know you messaged me.”
Next to him, Pogba was laughing to tears and further stirred the situation:
“Do you want to slap him right now?”
Zlatan didn’t hold back:
“I’ll knock his teeth out.”
“Now you think you’re bigger than footballers!”
Ibrahimovic then explained how Speed initially replied to the message, but didn’t react to the video he sent him:
“You replied at first, and then I asked you if you liked the video – and nothing!”
Speed tried to calm things down:
“Zlaty, chill, chill. I’ll reply to you. I just don’t check DMs on Instagram.”
Zlatan responded in his signature style:
“All the footballers made you famous, and now you think you’re bigger than them!”
Pogba chimed in again and added through laughter:
“When I text you, you better reply. Don’t ignore me!”
The rise of iShowSpeed among football stars
iShowSpeed went from an unknown enthusiast in 2020, when he first reacted to a video of Cristiano Ronaldo, to becoming a global phenomenon. His video content, especially related to video games like EA FC, brought him huge popularity in the football world. Today, he hangs out with big names like Pogba and Ibrahimovic, and has attended numerous matches and ceremonies such as the Ballon d’Or awards.
Since ending his playing career in 2023, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been actively working as an advisor at AC Milan, where he helps in making strategic decisions. Paul Pogba joined Monaco this summer, trying to revive his career after being suspended for doping, N1 writes.
