Igor Tudor takes over Juventus

Croatian football expert Igor Tudor (46) is the new coach of Juventus, the Italian football giant announced.

Tudor will succeed Thiago Motta on the bench of Turin’s “Old Lady”, who was fired after leading Juve last June.

Motta was sacked after 18 wins, 16 draws and eight defeats in all competitions.

“Juventus announces that Thiago Motta has been relieved of his duties as first team coach,” Juve announced.

“The first team will be led by Igor Tudor, who will do his first training session tomorrow, Monday, March 24,” they added from the ranks of the most trophy-winning Italian club with as many as 36 Scudettos won.

Tudor will manage Juventus until the end of the season, after which the two sides will sit down again.

The Croatian expert, who will turn 47 next month, has a rich history at Juventus, playing for the Turin club from 1998 to 2007. In total, he made 174 appearances for Juve, scoring 21 goals.

He returned to the club as assistant manager to Andrei Pirlo in the 2020/21 season. year, and independently managed Hajduk, PAOK, Karabukspor, Galatasaray, Udinese, Verona, Marseille and Lazio.

Juve are currently in fifth place with 52 points. Inter is at the top with 64 points, Napoli has 61, Atalanta 58, and Bologna is ahead of Juventus with 53 points.
