mmf-1Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund will discuss the request of BIH authorities for approval of a loan arrangement in the amount of 550 million EUR at today’s session.

It is expected that the Board of Executives of IMF will most probably approve the loan arrangement for BiH.

At an extraordinary session held on Tuesday, the Council of Ministers of BiH already reached a Decision on the withdrawal of the first tranche of the Extended arrangement with the IMF in the amount of 154.155.170,11 BAM and authorized the Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH to issue a Bill of Exchange and implement the necessary activities under its jurisdiction regarding the withdrawal of the first tranche.

Funds in the amount of 154.155.170,11 BAM will be distributed between the budget of the FBiH (two thirds) and the budget of Republika Srpska (one third).

Entities will repay the debt in accordance with the current legal regulations.

“The first tranche for BiH is expected to arrive on September 9, after the Board of Executives of the IMF approves a new Extended arrangement for BiH on September 7 this year,” stated the Council of Ministers of BiH.

The new Extended arrangement with Bosnia and Herzegovina is worth 1.077.030.789,00 BAM and will be approved in tranches over the period of three years.
