The International Monetary Fund (IMF) postponed the credit arrangement for BiH because not all members of the Fiscal Council signed the Letter of Intent yet, confirmed the FBiH Government.
Allegedly, representatives of the IMF will notify the officials in BiH that they are postponing the credit arrangement already tomorrow.
In May this year, political leaders reached an agreement on a three-year arrangement with the IMF in the amount of 550 million EUR.
The reasons why the members of the Fiscal Council have not signed the Letter of Intent are still unknown, given that it was stated previously that the Letter was agreed upon with representatives of the IMF.
Such a move by the IMF could cause serious financial instabilities across all levels of authority. Namely, the arrangement was drafted as support for the Reform Agenda, which was agreed upon with the European Union as well.
