The Councilors of the Sarajevo City Council are expected to appoint new leadership today, as well as the Mayor with a mandate period of four years.
Since according to the rules of the Sarajevo City Council, for every one of the 28 councilors, there are seven from every city municipality and they all have a right to propose their choice for mayor. For now, it is not known for whom all the councilors could vote.
What was previously known is that Naša Stranka (Our Party) has three councilors for a new mayor, and they recommended Jakon Finci. The Social Democratic Union (SDU) of BiH has three city councilors and recommended Stjepan Kljuić.
