Increase of Prices in almost all Segments in BiH!

In January 2019, on average, price levels increased, data from BiH Agency for Statistics point out.

By divisions of COICOP classification in January 2019 compared to previous month, price levels increased by 0,1%.

Higher prices in divisions of Food and non- alcoholic beverages, Alcoholic drinks and Tobacco, Furniture and furnishing, Restaurants and Hotels and Other goods and services.

By divisions of COICOP classification, in January 2019 as compared to the previous month, the price index increased in divisions of Food and non- alcoholic beverages by 1,5%, Alcoholic drinks and Tobacco by 3,5%, Furniture and furnishing by 0,3%, Restaurants and Hotels by 0,2% and Other goods and services by 0,3%.

Lower prices in divisions of Clothing and footwear, Health and Transport.

By divisions of COICOP classification in January 2019 compared to the previous month, the price index decreased in divisions of Clothing and footwear by 8,3%, Health by 0,1% and Transport by 1,0%.

On the annual level, on average, price levels increased by 1,5%.

The price level in January 2019 as compared to the same month of the previous year increased by 1,5%.

The average increase of prices was recorded in divisions of Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0,8%, Alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 5,1%, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 3,4%, Health by 2,3%, Transport by 8,4%, Recreation and Culture by 1,3%, Education by 0,6% and Restaurants and hotels by 0,7%.

The decrease of prices on average was recorded in divisions of Clothing and footwear by 11,0%, Communications by 0,5% and Other goods and services by 0,9%.
