Increased Production of agricultural Goods in 2015

Agricultural Goods bljesak.netTotal production of wheat in B&H in 2015 is larger by 25.3 percent than in 2014.

According to Agency for Statistics of B&H, production of barley also increased by 29.9 percent, of potato by 16.9 percent, onion by 13.1 percent, soy by 16.4 percent, peas by 40.5 percent, tomato by 40.5 percent, peppers by 29.8 percent and cucumbers by 70.9 percent.

In the structure of total land sown in 2015, the share of grains is 59 percent, industrial crops two percent, vegetables 14 percent, and share of fodder crops is 25 percent.

The harvested area and total production of majority of major crops increased in comparison with 2014. However, it is worth pointing out that such increase was directly caused by floods in 2014.
