On the plateau below the Old Bridge in Mostar, on Tuesday evening, a ceremonial welcome was held for the coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team, Sergej Barbarez, who with the national team qualified for the World Cup.

A large number of citizens of Mostar and the surrounding area gathered to pay tribute to the selectors and the national team for the achieved success, which has written a new chapter in the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. football.

Barbarez pointed out that this success is the result of honest work, vision and faith in one’s own abilities, adding that it is the motto of his life and sports life.

He emphasized that without the unity and trust of the players, there would be no results.

He also said that the beginning was not easy, but that defeats are also part of the process, because only from defeats can one remain great and learn some things.

“We had faith because we saw what and how we could do it. I hope I never let you down. We can lose the game, but the attitude towards the game and the national coat of arms must always be at the highest level,” he said.

The path to qualifying for the World Cup was marked by demanding and uncertain matches in which the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina showed combativeness, unity and competitive character, and one of the key moments is the victory against Italy, the multiple world champion.
