Indictment confirmed against One Person for Crimes Against Humanity in BiH

On 24 May 2021, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed a consolidated Indictment in Goran Višković charging the Accused Goran Višković with the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Indictment alleges that in the period between April 1992 and late 1993, the Accused Goran Višković, in the territory of the municipalities of Vlasenica and Milići, within a widespread and systematic attack by the army and police of the Serb Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina directed against the non-Serb civilian population of the municipalities of Vlasenica and Milići, knowing of that attack and that his acts constituted a part thereof, as a member of the Military Police of the Army of Republika Srpska – Military Post 7296 Milići, participated in the persecution of the non-Serb civilian population on national and religious grounds by murders, other severe deprivation of physical liberty in violation of fundamental rules of international law, other inhumane acts of a similar character committed with the intent to cause great suffering or serious injury to body or to physical or mental health, and by enforced disappearance of persons.
