Indirect Taxation Authority collected more than 6 billion BAM of VAT Taxes

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH) Indirect Taxation Authority has collected until October 31sta total of 242 million BAM on the basis of the highway tolls.

Earlier, ITA stated that, according to the Decision of the ITA Management Board which decided the amount of the road tax in the amount of 0.25 BAM per liter of fuel, until October 31st, collected the amount of 242.999.818,60 BAM (90 percent of the revenue from tolls).

The amount will be allocated in the following way: Federation of BiH 143.369.892,97 BAM (59.00 percent), Republika Srpska 94.769.929,25 BAM (39.00%) and Brcko District of BiH 4,859,996.37 BAM (2.00 percent).

From January 2018 until end of October, on the basis of VAT, excise duties, customs and travels, ITA has collected a total of 6 billion and 332 million BAM, which is more than 487 million BAM or 8.33 percent more than in 2017.

The previously mentioned record amount of VAT would be allocated in the following way: Federation of BiH 143.369.892,97 BAM (59.00 percent), Republika Srpska 94.769.929,25 BAM (39.00%) and Brcko District 4,859,996.37 BAM (2.00 percent).

“After ITA reimbursed 1 billion 138 million BAM to businessmen, the net amounts collected went to the distribution to users in the period January-October 2018, namely to the state, Entities and Brcko District, amounted to 5 billion and 194 million BAM, so the beneficiaries of indirect taxes in 2018 received 403 million BAM more than the revenues they received in the same period in 2017, “was stated from ITA.

For the financing of state institutions, 625 million was allocated.
