A more extensive search of the entire Plasa area on Čvrsnica mountain for 23-year-old French citizen Lola Mathelet, who was reported missing on Wednesday evening, has continued since the early hours of the morning.

In recent days, 112 members of the mountain rescue services, members of the GSS Alliance in BiH, have participated in the search for the missing young mountaineer in the wider area of Čvrsnica, the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Civil Protection Operations Center (HNK) announced.

With helicopter support from the Federal Police Administration (FUP) in transporting people to mountain peaks, assistance from the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service, the HNK Ministry of Internal Affairs, civil protection structures, four search dogs, and aerial searches using drones and overflights by EUFOR and FUP forces, 78 kilometers of mountain trails and roads have been thoroughly searched and over 30 square kilometers of the Čvrsnica massif have been surveyed.

All key points, facilities, shelters, and springs have been inspected. All collected information is being analyzed, including video recordings from cameras in Jablanica and surrounding towns with the assistance of the Croatian Interior Ministry, telephone signals in cooperation with operators, as well as inspections of the site using drones, the Civil Protection said.
