The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued an order for issuing an international arrest warrant for the President of the Veterans’ Organization of the Republika Srpska, Milomir Savcic, after he was ordered into custody and was not found at his home address.

“The Court received an official note from the Judicial Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina stating that the accused Milomir Savcic was not found at his home address, and that for that reason he was not taken to the detention unit by order of the Court. Having in mind the above, the Court issued an order for issuing an international arrest warrant “, the Court announced.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina was provided with a notification with an official note that the Accused Milomir Savcic was not found at his residential address in order to take further actions within their jurisdiction.

The Court stated that Savcic, on the proposal of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, was remanded in custody yesterday for violating prohibitive measures in relation to a specific case before the Court of BiH, and not for his public appearances regarding possible violations of BiH Criminal Code amendments related to a ban on denying genocide and other war crimes, and glorifying war criminals.
