book fairEvery April, Sarajevo becomes a top attraction for writers and publishers from BiH and the region, thanks to the international literary manifestation, or “Book Fair”, which started back in 1988.

As one of the most visited cultural events in the region, the Fair is rightly considered a literary festivity in Sarajevo.

Since 2002 the Fair has been organized by KSC Skenderija, Šahinpašić Publishing and the BiH Association of Publishers and Bookshops. The success of the Fair is reflected in the following annual figures: over 150,000 titles are presented by more than 200 exhibitors, approximately 100 promotions are held and the Fair is visited by more than 50,000 people.

Promotions of local authors are held in the Bosnian house at the center of the Fair, which also serves as a meeting place for writers, publishers and the general public.
