Doen syndromThis year as well, Association “Down Syndrome Mostar“ marks the International Day of Persons with Down Syndrome. This year’s motto is “My possibilities my choice-  we want to achieve complete and equal rights“.

Igor Ledic from this Association said that students of Medicine had launched this project, and that this is the third year that the marking of the International Day of Persons with Down Syndrome is held. This year, marking is extended to three days. “We are traditionally marking the International Day of Persons with Down Syndrome in Mepas Mall. We will share flyers about the education, have a desk promotion of Down syndrome and a proposal law that visitors will have an insight to. We were doing it with the coalition “We are stronger together“. We will have a booth with our handcrafts that members of the Association made, they will be of a selling character, and funds will be used for needs of the Association. We will also have an entertainment program“.

“Association has 22 families, 81 members and 22 members with a Down Syndrome. The Association still has not own premises, and that is the biggest drawback because we cannot organize gatherings, or workshops with persons with Down syndrome. We hope that the Government will recognize this problem and assign us some premises“.

Ledic added that they want to achieve equal rights.
