In Srebrenica on Saturday, October 10, the sixth international sports event “Trails of Bosnia Srebrena” will be held. The start of the children’s race is planned for 12:00, while the five and ten kilometer races are planned for 13:00.
The organizer of the event is the Association “Boys in Blue” from Sarajevo in cooperation with the Municipality of Srebrenica, the Tourist Organization of Srebrenica, with the support of the Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees.
“In Srebrenica, we expect about 200 participants in races of ten and five kilometers and about 100 participants in the children’s race. We use this opportunity to invite all sports fans to come to Srebrenica and contribute to the maintenance of international sports events and competitions in Srebrenica,” said the “Boys in Blue” Association.
The organizers have provided free participation packages for runners from the area of Srebrenica Municipality, and participation is also free for all children aged six to 14 in the children’s race “SBS Kids Run” with a length of 600m.
The Association “Boys in Blue” wants to enrich the social facilities in Srebrenica with this project, to make this city a gathering and socializing place for runners from BiH and the region, and in this way to attract a large number of visitors and tourists to Srebrenica.
The “Boys in Blue” Association announced that any political, national and similar symbols are strictly prohibited at the race.
